SUNFLOWER SEEDS

Sunflowers are one of the toughest of the companion plants for cannabis. Their advantage lies in their woody and fibrous resilience. They will draw sap and cellulose hungry pests away from your babies with their bright allure. The tiny and prolific self-pollinating male and female flowers, in the familiar spiral pattern, eventually form into the prized sunflower seed. Interestingly the "sunflower" isn't really a flower, but an assembly of small flowers that have a beguiling collar of insect attracting petals.

Native to North America, sunflowers are thought to have been domesticated before corn, over four thousand years ago. They make a bright addition to any garden, and are a huge benefit to cannabis - drawing the eye away with its bright colours and shielding against pests. If you are into organic and natural growing, or simply just want to boost your defence, sunflowers are a perfect choice.

Height up to 300 cm or more
Harvest Maturity 60 - 95 days from seed to flower / Summer
Effect Distraction and stealth.
Climate Full sun, sandy soil.
pH 6,7 - 7,5.
Soil Widely adaptable, well-drained.
Germination 7 to 10 days / 13 - 16°C.
Also They provide plenty of seeds at the end of the summer, plants usually develop seeds in 90 to 110 days.
Seeds per gram 40 - 60
Note When first true leaves appear (the second set of leaves); thin plants to about 2 feet apart. Sow a new row every 2 to 3 weeks to enjoy continuous blooms until the first frost.
